A Low Density Lifestyle and Creative Intelligence: The Key to Living a Full Life

I have coined a phrase I consider to be the ultimate model for a healthy and happy life. It’s called a Low Density Lifestyle, and I believe living this way is the best approach to achieving a life of optimal health and happiness, and to living a life full of passion and purpose.

I define a Low Density Lifestyle as one in which you are living in a more relaxed, less stressed, and calm, clear and focused manner on an everyday basis. When you live this way, you have less tension, rigidity and density in your body, mind and spirit. And when you have less of these in your body, you are then living a less dense lifestyle; in other words, you are living a Low Density Lifestyle.

One of the things that occurs from living this way is that your thinking becomes more fluid and flexible, and less inflexible and rigid. When you are like this, you are more capable of using your full powers, and utilizing the full extent of your creative intelligence, in order to help you live that life of passion and purpose.

Creative intelligence is the combination of creative thinking, logical thinking and the imagination. It is the key to tapping into your inner genius, and allows you to access your visionary powers to then visualize how you see your life and to then put it into action.

It’s not hard to do, but we just aren’t trained to think and function in this way. The problem is that we use very little of the mind’s potential.

You know what they say, a mind is a terrible thing to waste. And if we don’t use our creative intelligence capabilities and access our inner genius, we are definitely wasting our mind. What’s more, when you live a Low Density Lifestyle, cultivating creative intelligence and your inner genius comes naturally for you.

Most great ideas and profound thoughts don’t come when we use only our logical thinking capabilities. They mostly come when we let down our guards, enter into a Low Density Lifestyle, and let creative intelligence take hold.

Nicola Tesla, the great scientist and inventor, once said, “Creative ideas come to us like a bolt of lightning.” That’s because they occur, as I said above, when we let down our guards and enter into a Low Density Lifestyle.imagination1

Unfortunately, we are not taught to cultivate our inner genius or encouraged to use our creative intelligence, and so we aren’t real confident about using it. But everyone has it, as it’s innate in each one of us.

Another part of the bargain about creative intelligence is that when you do use it, you are breaking free of the pack, because you will be thinking for yourself.

Most people group think, meaning they think like the rest of the group. We are not much different than dogs in terms of having a pack mentality, and wanting to do the same thing that everyone else is doing, in order to be accepted by the group.

So if you think for yourself and think different than the group you may have to weather a storm of criticism for having done so.

Many visionary creative thinkers have had their ideas rejected by the so-called experts because it didn’t fit into what the pack thought was normal. But because they believed in their ideas, they decided not to run with the dogs.

One of the keys of creative intelligence is to strive for quantity. The more creative thinking ideas you come up with, the better because many of the ideas you come up with won’t be very good.

Creative thinkers have bigger garbage cans than the rest of us, because they are willing to come up with lots of ideas, and they know many of the ideas will have to be thrown away.

Because they’re not worried about being judged by the pack for thinking different than them, they’re not afraid to come up with many ideas. They produce more and more ideas, knowing that sooner or later one or some of the ideas will be worth pursuing.

Now that I’ve explained what creative intelligence is, let me give you some tips on how to access it. There are many things you can do to utilize it, so here are just a few:

  • Think Holistically – See and understand how everything is interconnected.
  • Be Open – Be open to new ideas, to things that are different, as opposed to having a knee-jerk reaction when something comes your way that is not the same-old, same-old.
  • Think with Your Head and Heart – Integrate critical thinking with what your heart tells you—listen to your brain and your intuition.
  • Have Courage – Have the courage to be independent, to not do what is expedient or what the group wants you to do.  Be willing to stand on your own two feet for what you believe in, and to do the right thing.

The simplest way to start using your creative intelligence is to just do at least one thing different every single day. We are such creatures of habit, and when we continue to do things by routine and by rote, we fall into a rut of always doing things the same. Ultimately, using your creative intelligence means to think different, so the best way to start thinking different is to start by doing at least one thing everyday that is different than the way you’re used to doing it.

For instance, if you always brush your teeth with your right hand, start brushing it with your left. If you always sleep on one side of the bed, start sleeping on the other side of the bed. And if you always take the same route to work, start taking a different way. Once you get in the habit of doing at least one thing different everyday, you will start seeing the world a little differently, and as this happens, using your creative intelligence will become a regular and commonplace part of your life.

It’s easy to use your creative intelligence and tap into your inner genius – all you have to do is enter the Low Density Lifestyle mode and let it flow. And as you do so, the life you are meant to live will come into clearer focus and you will be able to live the life of your dreams, a life full of passion and purpose.
