“One of the saddest things in life is to get to the end and look back in regret, knowing that you could have been, done, and had so much more, and then wondering why you didn’t.”

—ROBIN SHARMA, bestselling author

Everyday, every single one of us face life’s great challenge. It is the challenge of choosing, whether consciously or unconsciously, to either be extraordinary—living life on our terms and creating the lifestyle that we truly want—or to succumb to our excuses and settle for the pain of mediocrity in our lives.

Remember the popular book and movie The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood authored by Rebecca Wells?  Well, maybe it wasn’t so popular with males but certainly my women friends were a buzz with talk of the “sisterhood.”  Women friendships not only provide support and connection but a certain kind of intellectual stimulation, not unlike what Daniel Goleman describes in Emotional Intelligence.  He states, “Our humanity is most evident in our feelings.”  My most valued experience with women friends includes moments of authenticity and tender feelings honored.

The parents who attend love it, including graduating with their children on the final day.

And what if the only books you could read were those over-stuffed bestsellers, pumped out by traditional publishers and pushed by the big-box bookstores…for $8.99 a pop?

The fact is, there’s nothing wrong with mass produced food or books or movies, but sometimes people want something different.  Sometimes they want to see a movie or eat a meal or read a book that doesn’t follow a formula.  Something that’s unique…something that will surprise them.
