By: “Yo Pal” Hal Elrod, Embracing My Journey Guest Blogger.

“One of the saddest things in life is to get to the end and look back in regret, knowing that you could have been, done, and had so much more, and then wondering why you didn’t.”

—ROBIN SHARMA, bestselling author

Everyday, every single one of us face life’s great challenge. It is the challenge of choosing, whether consciously or unconsciously, to either be extraordinary—living life on our terms and creating the lifestyle that we truly want—or to succumb to our excuses and settle for the pain of mediocrity in our lives.

He’s Still Trying To Figure It All Out

February 5th, 2010

“Larry Cohen spent the bulk of his career in the Howard County Public School System, until his retirement in 2006. In total, he spent over 30 years in education as principal, assistant principal, teacher, pupil personnel worker, and administrative liaison.   On his 58th birthday, Larry Cohen decided that even though he still hadn’t figured all of life’s answers out, the values he had learned so far were worth sharing. In fact, the very process of trying to figure it all out is what might make the difference in the recipe for a life worth living.”   Today he is the author of “I’m Still Trying To Figure It All Out Myself….” and here to share his wisdom with us.

Life Is Too BIG To Play small!

January 15th, 2010

Gabrielle WhitneyAlthough I attended my first personal development seminar in 9th grade and have been on “The Path” ever since, it has not been an easy road.  I spent a majority of my life “collecting” knowledge and becoming an expert in what to do.  That said, my life was filled with many challenges – from issues with food – to relationships – to money challenges – et cetera.  I was stressed out, had a hard time relaxing, felt as if something was missing, and had little, if any, sense of calm and peace of mind.  No matter what I learned, I kept searching for the magical key that would make everything all right and give me the happiness and peace of mind for which I yearned.
