Sharing joy and love
In 2007 I had several people asking me when I was going to put my story on paper to share with the world….until that point I had simply shared my story without thought of writing out for others. Interestingly enough as soon as this process started, the seed that was planted began to grow. I nurtured it, strengthening the vision and soon I realized that it would be.
Then a twist of fate occurred, my father became very ill and my focus was redirected on taking care of dad. Thoughts of writing my story were buried in the back of my mind and the work I had begun was put aside. Time went by and again the question of “when will you write your story” appeared in my life from various people. I finally broke down and asked the Universe to provide me an outlet to share my story while still allowing me the time to care for my father.
In January 2008, the Universe provided and I was asked to be a contributing author to an amazing creation, one that would allow me to share my story, while still caring for my ailing father. I wrote, edited, proofed, submitted and waited. Working with 27 other individuals proved to be a growth experience, a lesson in patience I never knew I had required until the time came. Finally in late summer, I learned that everyone had done their part, the manuscript was approved and it was now a waiting game as the book went to press. As I knew there was nothing else I could do, I released it to the Universe and moved on with my other projects.
Last night I returned home to find several boxes in my foyer and my daughter (Sami) smiling from ear to ear as she said “They’re here mommy and they are so pretty!” She had opened the first box and inside was this amazing book, the passionate work of over 2 dozen people who had come together as strangers and now, less than one year later, melded together to create a body of work that will touch souls, open hearts and encourage so many others worldwide. The joy I feel is beyond words.
