How to experience Eat, Pray and Love by Pat Nowak

We are inundated by messages and thoughts from the book and movie Eat, Pray and Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. The story takes an accomplished woman on a one-year journey to find “something more” to soothe her troubled soul.

Many women go through the same unsettling feelings and yearn for something to alleviate that nagging depression. They obviously don’t have the means to just up and leave their lives to “follow their dreams.” What happens is that a woman continues to live a life of quiet desperation; often becoming bitter and angry. Often friends or a spouse may leave and a woman is left to find her own way through the adversity. “If only I can change my life” becomes a mantra.

Overall, I believe that “it’s not about getting what you want, but wanting what you have”, I can’t imagine a life I would find to be much more rewarding—though like many these days, a little more cash would be helpful.
