In March of 2009, I opted to remove myself from the online world for 34 days and reset my mind, body and soul. I learned several lessons during this initial process including:
1. The internet is highly overrated when it comes to social interaction, being with people in person is much more exciting and energizing.
2. Many people use technology (ie: chat, texting, email) as a means to escape real human interaction and contact. Deep, meaningful relationships cannot be developed on the internet. Yes, people can meet and greet, but the requirement for human contact is a great one and should be encouraged and nutured.
