He’s Still Trying To Figure It All Out

February 5th, 2010

“Larry Cohen spent the bulk of his career in the Howard County Public School System, until his retirement in 2006. In total, he spent over 30 years in education as principal, assistant principal, teacher, pupil personnel worker, and administrative liaison.   On his 58th birthday, Larry Cohen decided that even though he still hadn’t figured all of life’s answers out, the values he had learned so far were worth sharing. In fact, the very process of trying to figure it all out is what might make the difference in the recipe for a life worth living.”   Today he is the author of “I’m Still Trying To Figure It All Out Myself….” and here to share his wisdom with us.

Set: three goals. Achieved: three goals

November 23rd, 2009

SonjaF_2172lacastingAlmost every little girl dreams about being a model, an actress or a ballerina when they grow up, but unfortunately not all of these little girls ever achieve their goals.  Sonja Fisher was one of those little girls with dreams, and after years of ups and downs, she is now able to say that she has achieved not one, but three of her personal dreams! She set her goals and went full force ahead to reach them.  Today she is here to share her words of wisdom with us, welcome Sonja!

Tell us about the path you traveled to arrive where you are today:

My whole life I had three dreams.
One was to be in corporate America with a really successful job in the technology industry.  After working 14 years and changing jobs about 7 times and going to school for over 12 years, I can proudly say I landed the right job the one I have today.  I work for Oracle as Principal Sales Consultant selling Datawarehousing and Business Intelligence software and love it.
