How many of us look at life differently today than, say, twenty years ago, or ten or five years ago? How many of us are amazed at how differently we see things now than we used to? And how many of us are aware that much of the change just seemed to happen out of our personal control?
What is being described here is the evolution of consciousness, a drive to grow that is built into our nature and that unfolds without our prior consent. We are evolving just as we are designed to do. It is inexorable. And the rule of evolution is, if I see things differently now than in the past, as I continue to evolve I will see things differently in the future, too.
