Tell us about the path you traveled to arrive where you are today:
Twenty-five years ago I started in Japan exploring myself and my self-esteem through counseling and personal development work. Then over the years through my journey in Asia, Europe, and the last 15 years in the USA, I continued to work on my own development. Finally, I completed a Masters in Spiritual Psychology which gave me the tools to understand my judgments about others and myself and how to heal them. I am now married with a three year-old son, making a living helping and supporting others, earning over six figures and enjoying friends and family all over the world.
What kept you moving forward on the days things were not going exactly the way you were hoping they would?
Knowing that the issue was a lesson and there was something to learn from it. When I gave up the illusion that I was in control and that things were supposed to go a certain way life got much easier.
What piece of advice would you give to someone who has decided they would like to live in a world of their own creation?
Anything is possible if it is in your best interest or for the good of all. Sometimes we get caught up in thinking that something should go a particular way when we may not know that the direction of our dream could harm us or others. That can be confusing.
What special things do you do for yourself daily to maintain your momentum and energy levels?
Meditate for 15 minutes most days.
Set intention at night for the next day.
Review my “ideal scene” a description of what I intend for my life daily.
Eat well and exercise.
Have fun and laugh.
If you could spend 3 days on a deserted island with two people of your choosing, who would they be and why?
My partner and my three-year old son – my best friend and my future project.
What is your favorite audio material and what do you enjoy most about this material?
Kiri Te Kawana singing: O mio babbino caro” from Gianni Schicchi. It touches the soul and transforms the spirit.
What is your favorite reading material and what gives it that special place in your heart?
One Day My Soul Just Opened: Iyanla Vanzant
Every day is a reading, meditation and exercise which is always exactly what I need to think about at that time.
Who has inspired you and what is it about them that you found inspirational?
My parents. They gave up a comfortable and predictable life in the suburbs to start their own business where they had a lot of fun and some adventures and enjoyed being together.
What do you see in your future?
A balanced life where I enjoy peace, helping other people develop their potential and educate and entertain around the world.
Where is your favorite place in the world to spend time, what is special to you about this location?
Devon, England. I grew up here and some of the small towns and seaside villages are the most beautiful in the world.
Who has been your greatest support system and how have they shown you their support?
My best friend Christine. Who although she lives 7000 miles away is still my closest friend.
What / who are you most thankful for and why?
My adopted son, Teddy. He is a teacher. I learn from him how to be a better parent and human being.
What is your favorite way to contribute or give back?
Sharing my gifts as a coach and career expert.
Please share the top three things you feel people would benefit from doing if they truly desire to create the life of their dreams?
- Follow your dream not your parents.
- Give up the idea that your life of your dream has to look a particular way or it’s not right.
- Work out what stops you from achieving your dreams.
