What does success mean to me?

My dear friend and manifesting muse, Debbi Chambers recently asked this question on another site. I found it to be very thought provoking and felt it necesssary to repost here…enjoy!
Debbi’s question:
“Success…What is it exactly? For each of us, it takes on a different face and meaning. I am of the thought that success has INFINITE meanings…special and unique as we all are…
I’d love to hear what does the word success mean and FEEL like to you?…. ”
My reply….
When people ask me about success my first thought is always – “I am alive to share my story with you” as it was less than a decade ago I was at the brink of death and by all rights should not be here today…but I am and the reason I am is because of the CHOICES I made….
The second thought that always crosses my mind is a quote I heard long ago, one that has stuck with me over the years, thru the easy times and the challenging times…
“..there’s two kinds of tired, there’s good tired and there’s bad tired. Bad tired, ironically enough, can be a day when you won. But you fought the wrong battles, you had other people’s agendas, you lived other people’s day, so it wasn’t your day. It wasn’t your success. So when you hit the hay at night you toss and turn because it doesn’t sit right. Good tired, ironically enough, can be a day that you lost. But you fought the good fight, you lived your day, you acted on your dreams and when the day ends you can lie down and say “Take me away” and you can sleep the sleep of the just.”

Success to me is living each day to the fullest, working towards my dreams and goals and knowing that at the end of the day I fought the good fight…..and blessed those around me many times over.
So with that, what does Success mean to you?
